Hi,
Our names are Kim and David Ellington,  we purchased our farm in Carlise, Ky about 4 years ago, naming it Blooming Valley Flower Farm, along with our rescue pets Blue, Basil, Annie and Pancake. We are the heart of this small family cut flower farm.
We live high up on a ridge with a beautiful view of Pleasant Valley, not the greatest land for cut flowers but we have made it work.

Our cut flower growing began right away as I have always had a passion for growing vegetables, woody plants and all flowers.

We started out selling fresh seasonal flowers in buckets, mostly in the Lexington area along with 2 local farmers markets, however I wanted to do more with the flowers… It was about 2 years ago that I saw a video or 2 on pressing flowers for framed art along with using resin and that was the beginning of the addiction. I now look at every flower and think “how would it dry”.

Being a self taught resin artist, I began with small pieces including light switch plate covers, jewelry, bottle stops, gradually adding over 20 different items.
Most recently we have added shadow boxes of varying sizes along with re-purposed Windows, utilizing all of our dried flowers.
